Marcy Cohen has spent her life in and around New York City, while travelling and photographing extensively throughout over 50 countries. Her passion for photography emerged as a teenager roaming the streets of New York City and has grown over time.
Her work is included in various galleries, private collections and exhibitions in the United States, South America and Europe. Her photographs are also regularly published in various publications and online exhibitions including Leica Magazine, the LFI gallery, F-Stop, Fraction Magazine and The Curated Fridge.
In 2017, the Umbrella Gallery in the East Village of Manhattan exhibited her work in a solo show "The Narrow Road to the Deep North". Her photo, "Girl on the NYC Highline" was selected for inclusion in "Ma Ville, Mon Quartier", an exhibit curated by Martin Parr for display throughout the Paris Metro. During 2019 her work was chosen by Aline Smithson for inclusion in an exhibit of Contemporary Photography at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts ("RICPA") and also exhibited at the 2019 Annual Members Show at RICPA.
Marcy Cohen is also a member of the Board of the CUE Art Foundation, a not-for-profit contemporary art space in NYC dedicated to creating career and educational opportunities for emerging and underrepresented artists.
